Professional Experience

30+ Years tankers (23 contracts as Ch. Off, 15 years Master, 42 sailing years in total. Thousands of Hours Onboard.

Our Master Mariner background covers chemical parcel tankers, product tankers and oil tankers across all major trading routes. Career experience includes complex cargo operations involving multiple chemical cargoes carried simultaneously within parcel tanker operations.

Operational expertise covers cargo planning, tank cleaning, cargo compatibility and contamination prevention — built through decades of real operational challenges, not theory.

Cargoes handled include:

Methanol, ethanol, phenol, glycols, palm oil and vegetable oils, petroleum products, lube oil additives, hydrocarbons, propylene oxide, isocyanides, and difficult-to-remove cargo residues. Experience includes voyages carrying more than 30 different chemical cargoes within a single voyage.

  • WALL WASH

tanks preparation for wall wash standards, from previous cargoes like: CPP, Lube oil additives, HC’s, veg oils, etc.

  • Palm OILS handling,

    PALM OILS HANDLING

Palm oils are extremely difficult to handle, often ships experience heavy delays in disch ports, solidified cargo, blocked lines, etc,..our extensive experience warrant smooth and worry free carriage and discharge, followed by tank cleaning.

  • DPP CARGOES CLEANING

    DPP CARGOES CLEANING

DPP cargoes are difficult to wash, and often washing last for weeks if correct approach is not executed, our records are spotless with 100% success and no extra cost for owners, operators for de mucking.

  • operations always ends with light

    operations ends with bright light

when going gets tough we are there to get it done

Client satisfactions (Case Studies)

Example 1 — Tank Cleaning After Heavy Residue Cargo

The Problem Cargo tanks required preparation for dry dock following discharge of a heavy petroleum product with significant residues. Two sister ships had previously entered dry dock after 12 days of washing — still not gas-free and with extensive sediment remaining. They were turned away from the dock, facing serious delays and additional costs.

Our Approach A structured tank cleaning programme was implemented using staged washing, precise temperature control and systematic inspection planning.

The Result Tanks were fully cleaned and gas-free in just 4 days — with zero sediment remaining. No delays. No de mucking costs.

Client saving: hundred of thousands

Example 4 — Cleaning from Diesel for Methanol (Zinc lining)

MR tanker cleaning: while ship was given 12 days to prepare cargo tanks from Diesel to Methanol, Our cleaning took 5 days. All tanks were on speck higher than required, and we used 50% less chemicals.

All foot samples passed and finals were pass as well.

Client savings: 7 days of tank cleaning and huge amount of chemicals.

Example 2 — Palm Oil Cargo Handling

The Problem Palm oil cargo required strict heating control throughout the voyage to prevent solidification and discharge delays. On the previous voyage, the same vessel had experienced 6 days of delays discharging palm oil at the same port.

Our Approach Heating procedures were continuously adjusted and monitored throughout the voyage to maintain correct cargo temperature at all stages.

The Result Cargo discharged fully within the 48-hour window — no delays, no solidification, no demurrage.

Client Saving: 4 days of port stay

Example 5 — Remote assistance for tank cleaning

While customer crew washed tanks on MR tanker for 2 weeks they could not get tanks on speck, once they reached for us, we led crew and completed tank washing in next 3 days, having all tanks on speck. Foot and final samples passed and cargo was discharged on speck in discharge port.

Client savings: days of tank cleaning

Example 3 — Complex Chemical Cargo Sequence

The Problem A parcel tanker was carrying multiple chemical cargoes requiring careful compatibility planning, tank allocation and sequencing to avoid cross-contamination and maximise cargo intake.

Our Approach Full cargo sequence and tank allocation were reviewed prior to loading. Incompatibility risks were identified and resolved in the planning stage before any cargo came aboard.

The Result All cargo operations completed safely with no contamination incidents, no claims and no delays at any port in the sequence.

Client saving: maximize intake for another 1000 m/t.

Example 6 — CPP Tankers modification for annex II cargoes

A customer has reached to us seeking support to get MR tankers being 20 years in CPP trade prepare for ANNEX II trade, modify cargo system to meet new trade, support ship crew in gaining knowledge for new trade.

Client savings: no delays, no cargo contamination, no demurrage, crew being trained daily

Tank Cleaning Procedures for Chemical Tankers

Tank Cleaning Procedures for Chemical Tankers

Tank cleaning is one of the most critical operational tasks on chemical and product tankers. Poor cleaning procedures can result in cargo contamination, wall wash failures, charter party disputes and serious operational delays.

Cargo Changeover Planning

Every tank cleaning operation begins with careful analysis of the cargo changeover. Key factors include:

  • Previous cargo characteristics and residue behaviour

  • Next cargo purity requirements

  • Compatibility between residues and cleaning agents

  • Required wall wash standards

  • Available tank cleaning equipment and heating capacity

Overlooking any of these factors can lead to unnecessary cleaning cycles, failed wall washes or insufficient tank preparation.

Tank Cleaning Stages

Efficient cleaning follows a structured sequence:

  1. Pre-wash — Removal of cargo residues using hot or cold washing, depending on cargo characteristics

  2. Chemical cleaning — Application of appropriate cleaning agents to remove persistent residues

  3. Hot water washing — To dissolve or loosen stubborn residues where required

  4. Ventilation and drying — Proper ventilation to remove vapours and prepare for inspection

  5. Inspection and testing — Visual inspection and wall wash testing where required

Wall Wash Preparation

Wall wash inspection is required before loading sensitive cargoes such as methanol, ethanol or glycols. Preparation includes:

  • Additional hot washing cycles as needed

  • Careful ventilation of tanks and pipelines

  • Inspection of valves, lines and heating coils

  • Verification of tank coating condition

Even small traces of incompatible residue can cause wall wash failure — and the associated delays and costs.

Common Difficult Cargoes

  • Vegetable oils and palm oils

  • Heavy petroleum products

  • DPP cargoes

  • Certain chemical additives and lube oil components

Incorrect procedures for these cargoes can result in persistent residues requiring demucking operations — adding days and significant cost to operations.
